Recently I was making thyme and Lemon tea on my instagram stories (@pcos_to_wellness) and I had so many questions about it thought I would just leave the recipe for you here incase anyone wants to make it themselves!
Thyme has a powerful ability to help kill off bacteria and viruses. It is a rich source of several essential vitamins such as vitamins A, E, C, K, B-complex and folate AND it is also one of the best sources of calcium, iron, manganese, selenium, and potassium.
But the most incredible thing about Thyme is it contains antiseptic, antiviral, antibacterial, carminative (prevent formation of gas in the gastrointestinal tract), diaphoretic (inducing perspiration), and expectorant (helps loosen mucus so you can cough it up) properties which supports healing throughout the entire body.
This tea is is affordable and pretty accessible (only 2 or 3 ingredients) during these crazy times of COVID-19.
I know my local pharmacy is completely out of all natural supplements, so it nice to be able to make something at home!
2 or more springs of fresh thyme (I used about 5)
1 cup of hot water
optional: fresh lemon &/or raw honey
Place the thyme in a mug and pour hot water over, allow to brew for 15 min or more.
Add raw honey &/or lemon (both have antiviral/ anti bacterial properties).
