5 Natural Ways to Combat Hair Loss in Women with PCOS

Introduction:

I want to address a topic that hits very to close to home for me, and I know many other of us living with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS):

Hair loss.

As someone who has experienced and overcome PCOS-related hair loss, I understand the frustration and crippling self-esteem challenges it can bring. But fear not, for there ARE natural remedies that can help us combat this issue.

In this blog post, we'll explore five of the top ways to naturally reduce hair loss in women with PCOS, including a special mention of Cysterhood Tea, a herbal blend that has shown promising results in reducing androgen levels and managing hormonal imbalances associated with PCOS.

  1. Nourish Your Body from Within:

The foundation for healthy hair starts with a well-balanced diet. Opt for whole, nutrient-rich foods such as fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Focus on incorporating foods rich in antioxidants, vitamins (especially biotin and vitamin D), and minerals (like iron and zinc) into your daily meals. These nutrients support hair health and growth while combating the effects of hormonal imbalances.

  1. Manage Stress Levels:

Stress can wreak havoc on our bodies, including our hair. PCOS and hair loss often create a cycle of anxiety and stress, but it's crucial to break free from this vicious cycle. Explore stress management techniques such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, yoga, or engaging in hobbies that bring you joy. Prioritising self-care and finding moments of tranquility can help reduce stress, thus promoting hair regrowth. You may also want to consider powerful adaptogens and herbs that have been shown to reduce stress and support adrenals such as those in ZENHOOD tea

  1. Adopt a Gentle Hair Care Routine:

When it comes to hair care, treating your tresses with kindness is vital. Avoid harsh chemical treatments, excessive heat styling, and tight hairstyles that can strain your hair follicles. Opt for gentle hair products formulated for your specific needs. Look for shampoos and conditioners that nourish and strengthen your hair, promoting a healthy environment for regrowth.

  1. Embrace Scalp Massage and Essential Oils:

Scalp massage increases blood circulation to the hair follicles, promoting hair growth. Combine this technique with the power of essential oils to enhance the benefits. Essential oils like lavender, rosemary, peppermint, and cedarwood have shown promising results in reducing hair loss and stimulating regrowth. Dilute a few drops of your chosen essential oil in a carrier oil, such as coconut or jojoba oil, and gently massage your scalp for a few minutes every day.

  1. Discover the Magic of Cysterhood Tea:

Ok, let's discuss the magical Cysterhood Tea—a specially formulated herbal blend designed to manage PCOS and hormonal imbalances. This tea was literally created to help with hair loss, as that was one of the first and hardest symptoms I dealt with. This powerful tea combines a selection of potent organic herbs known for their potential to reduce androgen levels and hair loss associated with PCOS. Enjoying a cup of Cysterhood Tea daily can complement your efforts in naturally combating hair loss while providing other health benefits associated with PCOS management and hormone balance.

A note to my fellow PCOS warriors, remember that managing hair loss associated with PCOS is a journey that requires patience, self-love, and holistic care. By nourishing your body from within, managing stress, adopting a gentle hair care routine, embracing scalp massage and essential oils, and incorporating Cysterhood Teainto your daily routine, you are taking proactive steps towards reducing hair loss and reclaiming your confidence. Remember, you are not alone on this journey, and together we can overcome the challenges that PCOS presents.

Stay strong, you've got this!

Worth it!

I had this tea consistently for about a month a two years ago and while I was also doing other things like diet changes and metaformin at the time, I fell pregnant not long after adding the tea to my routine and I do think that it contributed.

I returned to this tea a few months ago to get my cycle back but I haven't been having it as consistently as before (eg going days or weeks without having it). I thought it wasn't really helping but I started being more consistent with it about 2 weeks ago and I've started to notice a difference again- not to my cycle (yet) but definitely to my skin/acne.

Consistency really is key for this one.

Magic Tea!

I have had previous issues with irregular cycles when I have been off contraceptives so I was nervous to go off them again, I found this tea and its amazing reviews all over the internet. I thought to myself "I'll give it a try, what do i have to lose". Skeptical for a while, I started anyway, drinking once daily and I came off my pill. 2 cycles in to natural cycles and they are regular! PMS is minimal, cramps are completely tolerable! I am in awe of this stuff! I am just about to start my 4th pack! I would recommend this to anyone, give it a go!

So worth it! For stress & sleep

I've been having 1 teaspoon of this tea most mornings in a pot with my Cysterhood tea and I've absolutely noticed a difference in how I feel. When I have smaller amounts of this tea during the day it keeps my cortisol down and helps me feel more regulated and able to get through stressful/hard work days, without me feeling drowsy.

I have only had the full dose of this tea a few times before bed but have also noticed a huge difference in how easy it is to wind down (and how quick it is) when I do.

& as an extra perk, this is the prettiest tea ever- I love making it.
